If you’re a minimalist in everyday life and love clear, fuss-free styling then it follows that your wedding will probably be a pared-back affair. And while many couples go all out on flowers and décor to make their day beautiful, you can create just as much wow factor by holding back and concentrating on a few exquisite details.
That’s what Penelope from Tigerlily Weddings did when she designed and curated this shoot. “It was about having the right details and balance, and making each element unique in its own right,” she says. This translated into eye-catching details such as a stunning table installation and a six-tier cake dressed with wild flowers.
Minimalism doesn’t mean less effort though. To achieve the perfect uncluttered look, everything from your bridalwear to your flowers needs to be carefully considered.
The dresses were chosen for their directional designs and opulent fabrics, and paired with a statement accessory and subtle hair and make-up. The flowers and cake followed the same idea. “Cake-maker Elizabeth matched the orals on the table in the best sugar craft I’ve ever seen,” says Penelope. “And the floral chandeliers were beyond my wildest dreams – multi-tiered lilies with cascading wisteria.”
Such chic styling doesn’t mean you can’t go to town with some fun-filled elements, too. The team dressed a cute flamingo in flowers and soft feather grass to give the look a playful finish.
