VENUE Northern Tuscany’s Villa Scorzi, a historical manor house
Planning a wedding from afar doesn’t mean you have to pare back the décor. As this shoot shows, so long as you have the right team on the ground, you can achieve a grandly glamorous look – even if you do have to approve everything over Skype!
Florist Stiatti Fiori created opulent flower arrangements which, when paired with hired chandeliers hung outdoors, gave a deliciously decadent feel. Chic tableware and linens were a key part of the overall aesthetic – against such an opulent backdrop, only the very finest of details will do.
It also helps to have a particularly stunning venue with a view. This means you can keep the décor to a few focal points, such as the reception tables and ceremony arch, then let the naturally enchanting surroundings do the talking.
LIGHT & SHADE
Outdoor dining may sound elegant, but it’s not so enjoyable for your guests if they have to eat under full sun. Check that your venue has a shaded area, like this loggia at Villa Scorzi, if you’re dining before sunset.
